
Barry Hyman, JD is a Principal of Veracor with 50 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. He has extensive knowledge and expertise with estate, individual and business insurance planning. Born in High Point, North Carolina, Barry attended The University of North Carolina for his undergraduate studies, and earned his JD in law from Emory Law School. He began his career by working for Arthur Andersen & Company, Price Waterhouse, and the IRS. After gaining valuable education and industry experience, he settled into a successful relationship with Martin Isenberg as an independent insurance broker.
Over the years, Barry has been a very active member of the community as a member of many charitable organizations, as well as serving on their boards. He was formerly the president of Congregation Shearith Israel. He is a current member of the Temple Sinai, Kennesaw State University Foundation Board of Trustees, as well as President of The Hyman Foundation. In 2010, he was honored to receive the Father of the Year Award from the American Diabetes Association. And more recently, the KSU Foundation honored him with The 2012 Clarice C. Bagwell Award.
As a proud father of three children, and four grandchildren, Barry now lives with his family in Sandy Springs, Georgia. When he is not busy at the office, he enjoys playing tennis, bridge, the symphony and playing with his grandchildren.
